After ten years and well over 6000 posts, The View From Falling Downs blog has about a third of the monthly looks it had eight years ago.

There can be only two explanations for this; either the writing’s gone downhill, or the blog has been gradually choked off by those Google algorithms designed to protect the public from impure thoughts. My hunch is it’s the latter.

I do confess to holding a constellation of opinions that the gate-keepers find offensive:

• billionaires have too much money

• the American Empire is not a force for good in the world

• Vladimir Putin is not the devil

• Anthony Fauci is not God

• mainstream media are in the pockets of the plutocrats

• political correctitude, or “PC culture,” is anathema to freedom

• “cultural Marxism” has nothing to do with Marx

• “working poor” as a socio-economic category signals societal failure… I could go on, but you probably get the general drift.

I’ll be recycling some of the articles on the blog in the hopes that it gets the readership it merits, as well as providing plenty of fresh material going forward.
