In a war between serious people and the seriously deluded, the serious are bound to prevail

Vladimir Putin is seriously deluded.

I know this because I’ve been reading about it for at least twenty years. There is an anti-Putin media infrastructure in place that keeps many pundits employed. They have explained over and over how Putin intends to resurrect the Soviet Union, or perhaps the Czarist Empire. He is a madman, bent on world domination.

So say the Nations of Virtue.

That would be the crew who delivered freedom, democracy, human rights, and a partridge in a pear tree to Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, among others.

While they were busy with that, Putin was busy foiling their plans for the Sevastopol naval base in Crimea, and their regime change plans for Syria.

While they were busy imposing woke ideology on their military, Russia gained a generational lead in hypersonic missile technology.

These facts raise two questions.

Who is serious?

Who is seriously deluded?
